Flicking through the Sunday paper supplement l came across an article talking about Samantha Camerons collection and was immediately surprised...l had no idea she could design! I know she always dress immaculately but thought that she probably had her own advisor. However clearly this woman knows about the cut, structure and fit of clothes. She understands that we want to look smart and effortlessly chic but also be able to run around after children, taken seriously at work whilst feeling comfortable doing so.
There are a few pieces that have really caught my eye. They look classic whilst also managing to stay current.
The cropped trousers are very big at the moment and l really need a pair. However as l'm a stay-at-home mum would probably style them a bit differently.
The cropped top would also work equally well with the current trend towards wide, high-waisted trousers, worn with a pair of flat shoes or trainers.
The shirt dress and maxi-dress are one of those staples that speaks for themselves and you can throw on at a moments notice and still look smart. Would love to wear the maxi-dress for an evening out with the husband and a wonderful pair of leopard print heels to lift it.
